Cisco Junior College Wrangler Baseball Team
announces the naming of eight baseball players to the Region V-North
Conference All-Star Team. Junior Dishmey-Perez was selected last spring
as an All-Conference second baseman, which gave him an automatic
invitation. In addition to Dishmey-Perez, seven sophomore players were
nominated and voted to be included by the nine coaches of the colleges
in the Region V-North Conference.

The 2008 All-Stars are Hector Contin, catcher from
Valencia, Venezuela; Junior Dishmey-Perez, second baseman from Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic; Tyler Park, short stop from Huntsville,
Texas; Austin Gracey, third baseman from Houston, Texas; Alex Carnall,
outfielder from Oakville, Ontario, Canada; Brad Oates, pitcher from
Decatur, Texas; Josimar Cubilla, pitcher from San Miguelita, Panama; and
Justin Braddock, pitcher from Southlake, Texas.
Being selected to the All-Star team is both an
honor and an opportunity since scouts from professional baseball
organizations and coaches from four-year universities will be
attending. The selection of eight all-stars for CJC is twice as many as
any other team in the conference. The CJC Baseball Team made it to the
second round of the Conference tournament last spring. That was the
first playoff appearance since the program started in 2003. The head
coach for the CJC Baseball Team is David White, assistant coach is Shawn
Hughes, and pitching coach is Jeff Robinson.
The All-Star games
are scheduled for September 26 and 27 in Waco, Texas
