About The CJC Libraries . . .
Mission
Statement:
The CJC Libraries
support the CJC educational mission through excellence in library materials,
facilities, and services. Specifically the Libraries endeavor to:
- Encourage
information literacy by teaching transferable research skills that will
enable students to access, evaluate and effectively and ethically use
information in any format
- Support the
information needs of the CJC community by acquiring, cataloging, organizing,
and making accessible an abundance of information sources in the most
fiscally responsible way possible.
- Facilitate
the ongoing use of information by the CJC community by maintaining CJC’s
information resources and the equipment to access them in user-friendly
physical and virtual environments.
Service Philosophy:
The Cisco
Junior College (CJC) Libraries exist to meet the information needs of the CJC
community by collecting, maintaining, and promoting the use of information

most useable format available and instructing members of the CJC community in
their ethical and proficient use.
